Your de-escalation plan. Your crisis support. In your own words — not a clinician's summary.
In a mental health crisis, the right approach keeps you safe. The wrong one makes everything worse. SafeCard Alert puts your plan in the hands of whoever finds you — before they have to guess.
In a life-threatening emergency, always call 999 first. SafeCard Alert helps responders help you.
Your plan, in your pocket — for when you can't explain it yourself.
Mental health conditions are invisible. In a crisis, a stranger responding can't know your history, your needs, or your person. SafeCard Alert closes that gap.
Your de-escalation plan
- Write what works, what doesn't, and what the person nearest you should do first
- Separate sections for different types of episode, so responders get the right plan
- Update it any time — your card always shows the current version
The person you trust, one tap away
- A responder can reach your person with a single tap — without seeing their phone number or address
- If something happens to your carer, your profile activates — you are never left unaccounted for
- You choose who is linked, and you can change it any time
Your control, always
- You choose exactly what each type of responder can see — public, education, NHS
- Every person who scans your profile is logged — you see exactly who opened it and when
- Profiles can't be saved, screenshotted, or shared — view only, every time
For mental health professionals too
- Tier 4 NHS access gives clinicians the full clinical picture — conditions, medications, crisis history
- Aligned with the Mental Health Units (Use of Force) Act 2018 — de-escalation profiles and AAC
- Full audit log for NHS and safeguarding compliance
Medication reminders
- Configurable reminders for every medication — dose, frequency, timing, and instructions
- Alerts sent to both the member and their linked carer
- Separate from emergency medication information shown to responders — the carer gets reminders, the paramedic gets the clinical facts
Secure document vault Coming soon
- Upload and store any document that matters — powers of attorney, deputyship orders, DNACPR decisions, advance care plans, hospital letters, EHCPs, Individual Support Plans, school healthcare plans, and anything else your loved one needs with them
- Documents travel with the person — accessible to the right tier at the right moment, never left in a filing cabinet at home
- AI-assisted extraction reads uploaded documents and pre-fills profile fields — every field reviewed and confirmed before it saves
- Identification photo upload — a recognisable photograph of the person, their belongings, wheelchair or mobility aid — directly strengthens the missing person pathway
- Encrypted storage · tiered access · you control who sees what
40+ language translation
Your profile translates for whoever scans it. A Polish family sets up a card for a grandparent with little English — the paramedic sees the profile in English. A British traveller abroad — the local responder sees it in their language.
This is different from AAC
Translation = the profile appears in the responder's language.
AAC = for people who can't speak — the board speaks for them.
Privacy by design
You control your profile. Responders can read it. Nobody can copy it, save it, or keep it. And you can see exactly who has seen it.
Whatever they wear, the answer is one tap away.
The same profile is available in five physical formats — so the information travels even when the card doesn't.
