You can hear everything. You just can't answer right now.
SafeCard Alert is the only medical alert designed from the ground up for autistic people. Not adapted. Not retrofitted. Built with the National Autistic Society, from the first line of code.
In a life-threatening emergency, always call 999 first. SafeCard Alert helps responders help you.
Oliver McGowan was 18. He was autistic. He died because the right information wasn't available.
His death in 2016 led directly to the Health and Care Act 2022 and the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training now required across every NHS trust and social care provider in England. The training creates awareness. SafeCard Alert provides the individual information that turns that awareness into the right action — for this person, in this moment.
A meltdown is not aggression. A shutdown is not refusal. Non-speaking is not unconscious. Your profile tells responders exactly what is happening and exactly what not to do — before they have to guess.
What other alerts give a responder
"Autistic" on a wristband. No context. No instructions. No person.
What SafeCard Alert gives them
"I can hear everything you say. I'm not refusing — I've gone non-verbal. Do not restrain me. Give space. Call my carer."
Built for this. Not adapted. Built for this.
Every feature in SafeCard Alert was designed with neurodivergent people and their carers — not retrofitted from a system that wasn't designed for them.
